Business Strategy Intensive

I chose a Business Strategy session with Angela to gain clarity about where to strategically focus my energy to reinvent and relaunch my business after completing a long sabbatical to complete my doctoral dissertation.  From this session, I developed a broad plan and some immediate actions to work on. Angela is a joy to work with – she is approachable, knowledgeable and experienced – the perfect combination of traits for me to partner with to redesign my business moving forward. She asked just the right questions at just the right time to help me clarify my thinking and make some initial strategic decisions.

I can highly recommend Angela to any individual or business wanting to hone their thinking and translate that into action to optimise their next chapter!

I went into our workshop thinking I was going to spend a day with a business coach planning out my year. I thought Angela was the perfect person to come up with awesome marketing ideas due to her background.

What happened instead was that we discovered I was getting swallowed whole by my business as well as my life as a wife and mother of three. I was close to burning out due to overload and overwhelm. Angela managed to pick up on this fairly quickly, even though I wasn’t seeing it and she turned the whole day around. Instead of giving me a to-do list she scaled it right back. Helped me cull things in my business that didn’t feel right or were too draining.

Helped me see where my real strengths and passions lie.

It was quite transformative, totally unexpected and very relieving. I think if I had been with a different person, they may not have picked up on all this. That’s the difference with Angela. When the opportunity arose to work with Angela, once we had set the date it was like my subconscious had been given permission to speak up. I thought I was going to work on some business planning, but that inner voice inside had different ideas!

Having known Angela for many years, I respected what she had achieved on both business and personal levels and realised that working with her would help me gain clarity on some conflicting ‘voices’ in my head. I realised I was really unhappy with one specific area of my business, but had fallen into the trap of offering it (and being paid for it) because customers had been asking for it.

I had chosen financial security over delivering a service I was passionate about, leaving me frustrated and resentful. I couldn’t see a way out – bills needed to be paid, after all! The ‘sensible’ part of my brain wasn’t expecting to delete one service from my business and create a new one, but that is what I have done since working with Angela.

I have a new focus around what I do, and have found it very easy to start saying ‘no’ to the work that made me unhappy because of the structure Angela helped me develop in replacement.

I first met Angela over a decade ago when she was running one of the best networking groups on the Northern Beaches of Sydney and we have kept in touch over the years.

I actually saw a Facebook post early one morning about her strategy days and I immediately knew I needed to chat with her. Being in the early stages of launching a new business, I was at a frustrating impasse with some of the key decisions that I had to make and needed to brainstorm with someone who had clarity, business experience, creative thinking but also practical strategic thinking.

The outcomes from the strategy day that I spent with Angela were excellent and just what I was looking for. We covered some key groundwork and I got answers to all the decisions that needed making. Angela has a fantastic ability to put into words what it is you are trying to say and to ensure that everything is captured.

The whole experience was a day well worth spent – it is hard to find the blend of creative thinking and practical skills that Angela brings to the table – I would highly recommend any business owner to spend a day with her!

I had an initial consultation, a “wholehearted conversation” with Angela, and it was so powerful, and so I knew the workshop would be very powerful and impactful – and it was. The points she made just in the consultation showed not just the level we’d take things to, but also, it got me mentally moving and creating in preparation for the workshop – this I feel created a strong platform for our time together as those necessary wheels of ideas were already turning.

Being with Angela in the workshop, felt like a wonderful creative braining storming session – it felt less like coaching and more like creative brainstorming, which I just loved. I was looking for Truth – “this is where you are at and this is what you need to do and this is where I absolutely see you going” and Clarity – someone to help me see clearly who I am, what I’ve got to offer and where I can go with it. I needed reassurance, that it is in fact, all possible and I also needed to be held in a strong process – someone who wouldn’t just tell me what to do, but rather, someone who would identify what’s needed, and hold my hand through those actions and I received all of this and more.

I have to say, had I not sensed and seen that I was going to be ‘held’ through the work that was needed to be tackled I may have felt a little overwhelmed – but Angela catches every point, every word. I felt absolutely comfortable that everything has been heard and considered and worked through.

At the end of my workshop my business had been broken down into tangible streams that speak to me and who I’m becoming. We turned my work into deep journeys that my clients have to commit to up front (invigorating for me!) rather than merely stand alone sessions that they engage in ongoing (draining for me)… I really took stock of the outcomes I take people through too and am ready to create my school – initially I thought… “really?” now I think ‘but of course”!

Angela is a multi-dimensional coach, a creative explorer, an excavationist of ideas and potential and she goes straight to the core of the issue! I think she is so intuitive and keyed in at a whole other level beyond what is presented to her. She is exacting but doesn’t chop – rather, watching her work is like watching someone very carefully slice butter – she cuts with precision and leaves no mess. She walks a wonderful tight rope of being very open, engaging and yet keeping things on razor-like track.

I felt totally seen, totally heard, totally held and I would recommend this service, absolutely. But be warned – you need to strap in! Angela is so are highly intuitive, you’ll be working very fast at getting to the core of the issues and your untapped potential/treasures. Angela has the ability to cut through the dross to see the shiny stones beneath – so it’s completely safe to bare one’s professional soul to you and also, critical to do so to have the experience and achieve the results you seek.

I participated in some of Angela’s earlier programs, ‘Whole-hearted Business Success’ and ‘Your Journey Board’, and both of these programs resulted in many creative and curious questions for myself, and an awareness that I had much more work to do to find answers.  So I joined the ‘Aligned’ program and was privileged to be invited into Angela’s business mentoring program, and now the Business Mastermind.  My journey with Angela has been building momentum over a two-year period.

Angela has given me the opportunity to be curious about my own story, to identify what is holding me back, and to clearly create a pathway to a new business.   As a mentor she has been creative, engaging, energetic, has challenged my thinking and patterns of behaviour that arise, she has held me accountable for myself, all the while being nurturing and loving in her approach – keeping me safe.

In my story, Angela’s true gift has been her skills as a coach.  During the Flourish program I experienced personal tragedy so intense it could very easily have stopped me in my tracks, and disabled my dream; however, Angela remained present and supportive.  She empathized with my experience and continued to pique and connect with my need to create a world and business I, and my family, would be proud of.   And from the ashes of despair has arisen a ‘phoenix’ of a business.  I could not have achieved this without Angela’s gentle and persistent guidance.  I will forever be grateful.
