I’m Sarah Denholm, a Speaking Coach, trainer and consultant. Based in Melbourne. I provide public speaking, presentation and influence skills coaching and training for individuals and organisations in Australia and globally online.

The beginning

When I first connected with Angela, my business was already a success, but I knew I was stuck inside my own bubble and needed a fresh perspective to help me develop clarity and new strategy for my next level of growth.

I don’t see myself as a natural entrepreneur, but I needed to be entrepreneurial, and as a cautious person, I suspected I might be in danger of undervaluing my work. I needed someone to come in with energy and experience who would be in my corner. I wanted that someone to be able to provide both high-level vision and detailed, actionable steps to help me grow – that’s a big ask as these are usually quite distinct skill sets, but in Angela you have both.

I could see the brilliant feedback she’d received, and so I got in touch.

The first workshop:

I travelled up to Sydney from Melbourne for our initial workshop. Angela and I focused on redefining my value proposition, service mix, positioning and marketing strategy. A highlight was the development of visual models that captured my IP and communicated it powerfully – I’ve since trademarked these.  We also remapped my website layout and core content.

That ability she has to see and communicate the big picture and then drill down into finer details means we created a very clear roadmap – it was dynamic and expansive, I was excited and I was empowered to take action!

The outcomes

Since our work together, I’ve experienced tremendous growth. My revenue has tripled. My reputation has grown. Potential clients have a clearer understanding of my services, so the enquiries that arrive are pre-qualified, making sales conversations easy and even enjoyable.

There has been so much traction that the investment I made has definitely paid for itself dozens of times over.

The next step

The growth I’ve enjoyed does have a flip side – my capacity! I knew it was time to sit down with Angela again and look at evolving my services so I could continue to scale and enjoy increased financial returns without burning out.

We worked on repositioning, streamlining my offers, refining my market segments and creating new pricing models that reflect the value I deliver alongside scoping out an exciting initiative for 2025!

Again, Angela’s direct, yet supportive, approach challenged and stretched me, giving me confidence and clarity for this next stage of growth. I feel the new plan we’ve developed is going to lift me another level – my vision is achievable, the work is doable and I’ll have the support around me to make it happen.

The trust factor

Trust played a crucial role in my decision to return - this is a relationship I value.
