Jo Hanlon
Business and HR Strategist
I’m Jo Hanlon the Founder of Mind Your P’s. My business journey began in HR specialisation but has since evolved into Business Strategy and Leader Advisory and Mentoring work for SME’s.
The Background.
I've been in business for 18 years, and my work has evolved significantly over that time. What started as a clearly defined service offering had grown, broadened, and deepened – but my positioning, messaging, and branding hadn't kept pace. I'd been trying to squeeze myself back into the box of my original work, but it just wasn't fitting anymore.
I knew I needed to take action. But I'd been stuck in that knowledge for three or four years, circling around the same questions: How do I unify everything I now do? What do I keep? What do I let go?
Why I chose to work with Angela
I first worked with Angela over 12 years ago when she helped me with business development and branding. We've stayed connected since then - I've been a member of her business masterminds, been on her business retreats and had personal coaching and mentoring at different points along the way. When I realised I needed strategic help with this repositioning, I knew who to contact.
I'm action-oriented, and I knew that starting with someone new would mean spending valuable time educating them about me, my background, and where I was heading. With Angela, there was already embedded knowledge between us. I trust her - her skills, and her experience. It was a no-brainer to return!
The experience of working together
When we sat down for the VIP Strategy Intensive, I anticipated we'd make initial progress and create an overall plan. What actually happened exceeded my expectations entirely.
Angela didn't just jump into tactics. She started by asking deep, pragmatic questions about what I needed and wanted from this next chapter of my business – revenue goals, delivery capacity, values alignment, lifestyle design and much more. This practical framing shaped everything that followed with more depth than I'd thought to consider.
Then Angela did what she does brilliantly: once she understood everything I'd been doing, incorporated the direction I was being called to follow now, and reshaped it into a coherent framework. It wasn't about fixing what was broken. It was about letting go of what I didn't need and clarifying what to carry forward – giving me a structure to hang everything on in the right places.
I describe it as Angela giving me a "spine and skeleton." She helped me see the framework that was already there, organising what had felt like scattered activity into something clear and intentional.
The Outcomes
By the end of our work together, I had:
A clear framework that unifies everything I do under a new umbrella brand: Business Coherence
A leadership mentoring offering that works alongside my business strategy frameworks
A new offer suite with clear pricing intentions
A complete new branding package
Clarity on what to let go – things I'd been attached to out of habit or comfort
A renewed sense of direction and confidence for my next chapter
What makes Angela different?
One of Angela's superpowers is her ability to ask great questions, see the wood through the trees, and then put all of your previously disjointed ideas together in a new way, right in front of you. She draws models, frameworks, lines on paper – and suddenly everything clicks into place.
Angela also doesn't shy away from challenging you. She'd say, "From what you've been telling me, you can stop thinking about that. You can let it go and move on." and back it up with reasoning that made such sense, that it felt so freeing! I don't take things personally, so having direct feedback was incredibly helpful. It's easy to stay stuck in your own head when you're so close to your business. Angela's outside perspective let me see what I couldn't.
Angela doesn't follow a generic coaching program or formula. She meets you where you're at. She has this rare ability to see the big picture and also drill down into the practical details, moving fluidly between the two. Her breadth of experience means she can go deep and specific when it's needed and stay broad at other times – I felt truly seen and held in the process.
Where I am now.
I feel lighter, clearer, and genuinely excited about this next chapter. I have clear direction, a 90-day plan, and I'm committed to moving forward. I can take my existing clients with me, bring new clients into the mix, and transition out of the work that no longer aligns – handing those clients to people I trust.
I'd spent years procrastinating, but Angela helped me reach the tipping point. I describe the experience like this: I felt like I was sitting on one side of the eye of a needle with a helium balloon full of possibilities and To Do’s, wondering how on earth I'd get through. Angela's process was like shrinking that balloon down to a size that meant it could slip through the eye of the needle with ease! I'm three-quarters of the way there and my momentum is unstoppable now.
I'd recommend Angela to anyone who wants to evolve her business but has been circling the same questions for too long. When you need someone who can help you see the wood through the trees and build the framework to move forward with confidence, get in touch with her right away!
